How to use and make WhatsApp 3D avatars, can be stickers

Meta launched the 3D avatar feature on WhatsApp, which allows users to create their own avatar. Features previously presented by Meta on Facebook and Instagram.

Information about 3D avatars was announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg via his Facebook account on Wednesday (07/12/2022).

Mark said that 3D avatars on WhatsApp can be made as profile photos and stickers so that user chats can be more exciting.

“We are bringing avatars to WhatsApp! Now you can use your avatar as a sticker in chats. More styles coming to all our apps soon,” wrote Mark.


Specifically for stickers, WhatsApp users can create 36 types of stickers to represent different emotions and actions. Head of WhatsApp, Will Cathcart admitted that dozens of stickers can be used depending on the topic of conversation, or the user’s expression in the chat.

You can create your personal avatar and share it as one of the 36 stickers from your custom sticker pack, or it can be used as your WhatsApp profile picture.

WhatsApp claims that users can create billions of avatars by combining various hairstyles, facial features and clothing.

You can create an avatar on WhatsApp to use as a profile photo or create sticker packs. Since it’s a new feature, make sure to do it update latest WhatsApp application.

How to make 3D Avatar on WhatsApp:

  • Be sure to do update latest WhatsApp application.
  • After that, open it WhatsApp and click three dot menu in the top right corner.
  • Next tap > Suit or Settings

  • Then select > Avatar
  • Then click > Create your Avatar and Get started.
  • Then follow the steps to create an avatar
  • Tap > Done

How to make an Avatar a profile photo on WhatsApp:

  • Tap > Suit or Settings
  • Tap your profile photo > Edit > Edit
  • Click > Use Avatars

How to remove Avatar on WhatsApp:

  • Tap > Suit
  • Tap Avatar > Delete Avatars
  • Click > happy
