How to Use the WhatsApp Polls Feature on iOS and Android, Create Quick Polls!
Meta has just launched a new feature called WhatsApp Polls, which is rolling out to WhatsApp users on iOS and Android devices. So, for those who don’t know, we’ll give you tips on how to use WhatsApp Polls.
The WhatsApp Polls feature was launched together with Communities, a feature that allows users to have separate groups to manage chats/conversations.
Not only that, WhatsApp also rolled out one-tap video calling for up to 32 people and doubled the limit on the number of participants for groups.
Like other features in the app, WhatsApp Polls will also be protected by encryption end-to-end. In other words, the company cannot see the content.

How to Use WhatsApp Polls on iOS
Previously we reminded you, make sure you are using the latest version of WhatsApp. If you are using an iPhone or iPad with the iOS operating system, follow the steps below
- Open WhatsApp on your phone
- Open the group or individual chat for which you want to create a poll.
- Press icon button > (+) next to the chat box
- You will get an option to view options “Opinion poll” (Polls) at the bottom along with other options like Location, Contacts and more.
- Select > Opinion poll (Polls)
- Type your question in the area “Ask a Question” (Ask Question) and then add options for voting.
- After adding the question details, then tap > Send (Send)
How to Use WhatsApp Polls on Android
How to use the Polls feature on Android is similar to iOS devices. Make sure you are using the latest version of WhatsApp. Follow the steps below:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone
- Open the group or individual chat for which you want to create a poll.
- Press icon paperclip or a paperclip near the box chat
- You will get an option to view options “Opinion poll (Polls) at the bottom along with other options like Location, Contacts and more.
- Select > Opinion poll (Polls)
- Type your question in the area “Ask a Question” (Ask Question) and then add options for voting.
- After adding the question details, then tap > Send (Send)
Polls can be added to individual as well as group chats. You can type a question or a topic. You then provide options for others to choose from. After selecting an option, you can cancel and choose another option.
Users can also select more than one option to show more than one preference. On both iPhone and Android, the way to vote is no different.
Previously, Meta had also released several updates and new features for instant messaging services, both for individual users and for WA groups. One of them is Communities or Community features.
