PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) is expanding its network in Bengkulu Province. That way, now XL has provided 4G networks to 935 villages/kelurahans and 105 sub-districts in all regencies/cities in the province.
In the last two years, the number of villages served by XL Axiata’s 4G network has increased to 12% of villages/kelurahans. A total of 480 BTS 4G support telecommunication and data services in all these villages/kelurahans throughout the province.
Group Head of XL Axiata West Region, Desy Sari Dewi, said the existence of quality telecommunication and data services is a requirement to accelerate equitable development in rural areas to remote areas.
“For this reason, XL Axiata always supports government programs to expand data and telecommunications networks to rural areas. In Bengkulu, the expansion of the 4G network has reached 61% of villages/kelurahans and 82% of sub-districts throughout the province,” said Desy.

By providing maximum telecommunication access in Bengkulu, XL Axiata’s 4G network has so far built a lot to increase the productivity of the local community. Currently, Bengkulu Province has around 240 thousand XL Axiata customers.
Desy added, compared to the same period last year, the addition of BTS in Bengkulu rose by more than 20%. Seeing the need for a quality network that continues to increase in this region, the company has carried out several initiatives, including continuing to develop fiberization at this time.
“To improve the quality of data networks in Bengkulu Province, until now XL Axiata continues to add capacity and build new BTS, expand fiberization, and optimize networks. XL Axiata in the last 2 years has added up to 260 BTS 4G 4G,” continued Desy.
Based on the official statement received on Sunday (23/07/2023), XL Axiata’s 4G network is also available along the route that connects Bengkulu – Taba Penanjung which stretches for 17.6 km.
In addition, XL Axiata’s 4G network also serves the needs of Bengkulu tourism development, supports small and medium industry players, and supports the implementation of smart cities in Bengkulu City.
